consultant

As a marketing and public relations consultant, Carrie applies an integrated marketing approach to help her clients accomplish their financial goals and visionary missions. Her marketing, public relations and writing expertise in both traditional and interactive marketing and media allow her to assess a company or organization’s overall communications needs, and develop a strategy that best spends time, energy and money, whether it is simply redesigning a website or developing a comprehensive internet marketing campaign.

During her professional marketing and PR career, both as a consultant and while with a marketing communications agency, Carrie has worked with a variety of companies and organizations in diverse industries: hospitality, non-profit, association, BtoB and consumer. Her specialties are travel, luxury and adventure. She has also owned two businesses (a catering company and an adventure travel agency), which gives her a client’s eye view of what to expect from a marketing and public relations consultant.

writer

As the Travel Editor for Leader's Edge Magazine, Carrie writes and edits "Side Tracks," a monthly, three-page spread chock full of the latest information for connoisseurs of all things luxury: global travel, goods, restaurants, automobiles and motorcycles.

Carrie is also the gams behind “The Well Heeled Traveler: Stepping Out With Carrie,” an irreverent blog targeting independent, sophisticated women travelers -- sort of a “Sex and the City” abroad with concrete information about the chic places to stay and where to have a drink alone without feeling like a hooker.

On and off for nine years, Carrie has been 4-wheeling through the harsh Australian outback, researching Tracking Uncle Ludwig, a book and documentary about her great, great, great grand uncle, the explorer Ludwig Leichhardt. Leichhardt led an epic Lewis and Clark type expedition through the Top End in 1845 only to disappear into the outback with his entire party of men, animals and equipment three years later. She is close to solving the mystery of her kindred spirit’s disappearance.

Carrie’s most recent freelance article on insuring collector cars, A Show of Passion, is also a fun story about the classic car extravaganza known as the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
